Data Engineer (SSIS)

Responibilities

Design, develop, maintain, and optimise SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
Migrate and orchestrate existing SSIS workloads using Azure Data Factory (including SSIS Integration Runtime where applicable)
Build and maintain ADF pipelines, datasets, linked services, and triggers
Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Data Lake, Blob Storage, APIs, and file systems
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability
Implement logging, error handling, and monitoring best practices across SSIS and ADF solutions
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and application teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Support CI/CD processes and version control for data integration assets
Ensure compliance with data security, governance, and quality standards

Skills

Degree in Computer Science or in similar areas.
Strong hands‑on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
Proven experience with Azure Data Factory, including orchestration of SSIS packages.
Solid knowledge of SQL Server/T‑SQL for data validation and transformations
Experience working with cloud and hybrid data integration scenarios
Familiarity with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Data Lake)
Ability to troubleshoot complex ETL and data pipeline issues
Good understanding of ETL best practices, performance tuning, and data quality.
Leadership skills are highly valued
Fluent in English - written and spoken (mandatory).
