Senior AWS Technical Lead / Data Platform Consultant
Responsibilities
• Lead and support the transition of a Data Platform from Azure to AWS
• Define and validate AWS data architectures, ensuring alignment with best practices, security, governance, and compliance requirements
• Design and contribute to complex data platform solutions, including data lakes, ingestion and processing pipelines, and integration with enterprise systems
• Support technology decision-making regarding AWS services, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and cost optimization
• Work closely with development teams, providing technical guidance and hands-on support throughout the implementation lifecycle
• Ensure data governance best practices, including access control, data quality, and compliance standards
• Contribute to the management of Technical Debt Backlog activities and continuous platform improvement
• Produce and maintain technical documentation for applications, architectures, and operational processes
• Support and manage infrastructure change requests
• Monitor and support product/application budget control, including effort tracking and team allocation management
• Validate and follow up supplier invoicing, ensuring consistency between delivered work and contracted effort
• Collaborate with global teams in the delivery of strategic projects
• Ensure quality and consistency across all deliveries
• Apply critical analysis and problem-solving skills to technical and architectural challenges
Skills
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in cloud platforms, data architecture, or related technologies
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and modern data platform architectures
• Experience designing complex cloud and data solutions
• Experience with AWS data services, data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and systems integration
• Knowledge of security, governance, compliance, and cost optimization practices in AWS environments
• Experience supporting cloud transformation or migration initiatives, preferably Azure to AWS
• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar
• Knowledge of application and cloud technologies
• Experience in strategic and transformation projects
• Knowledge of the Energy & Utilities market and GDPR
• Knowledge of Agile methodology, JIRA, and Confluence tools (valued)
• English — Mandatory
• Portuguese and Spanish — Valued
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and with global teams
• Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to quality deliveries
